Colonial Williamsburg Centennial Celebration
Celebrate 100 years of Colonial Williamsburg with a grand procession of Fifes and Drums, costumed interpreters, horse-drawn carriages, rare breed animals, community members, and special guests making their way down the historic Duke of Gloucester Street. Join us at 11:00 AM at Capitol Circle for the procession to the Courthouse. The ceremony will feature appearances by W.A.R. Goodwin and John D. Rockefeller Jr., Nation Builders, and a special address by Colonial Williamsburg CEO Carly Fiorina as we honor a century of bringing our nation’s enduring story to life while reaffirming our educational mission: that the future may learn from the past. Join us as we celebrate our history and look ahead to inspiring future generations to discover and learn about our shared past.

100 Anniversary Celebration
Celebrating a century of learning from past centuries
Colonial Williamsburg’s 100th anniversary on November 14 features free admission, special programming throughout the day, a guided centennial tour at the Art Museums, and a spectacular fireworks display.
We will dedicate November 15, to our employees, volunteers, retirees and their families. For one day, we are closing the Historic Area, Art Museums and Campbell Archaeology Center for this gathering, something we have never done before.
