Paths to Freedom: From Revolution through the Civil War
January 20th at 7:00 PM EST
Join Colonial Williamsburg and Fort Monroe to explore the many stories of freedom seekers during the American Revolution and Civil War. Using primary sources and ready-to-use classroom activities, participants will explore how the pursuit of liberty evolved across time and how the stories of self-liberation connect two pivotal moments in American history. Offered just in time for Black History Month, this session will equip teachers with resources to discuss with students the stories of freedom seekers and the impact of these individuals on American history. Participants will receive 1.5 professional development hours for attending this session. For more information, please contact [email protected].
