Join the Bob and Marion Wilson Teacher Institute for an exclusive conversation with David Schmidt, one of the producers and co-directors of the acclaimed The American Revolution documentary. During this program, learn more about the creative process, research, and storytelling choices that shaped this documentary and ask your questions live!
Then, Mary Kate Lonergan, PBS-certified media literacy educator and Social Studies Curriculum Specialist at Fayetteville-Manlius Central Schools, will lead a discussion on what the American Revolution can teach us about media literacy today. Discover strategies for helping students critically analyze historical narratives and walk away with classroom-ready activities from PBS LearningMedia and Colonial Williamsburg.
