Saving Our Heritage Seeds

This program emphasizes the science involved in seed saving. The history will encompass how seeds were kept or purchased in the period. Store inventories, ship manifests, etc. All part of the global exchange.

Guests will observe plants grown in the garden that are in the seeds stage and will have the opportunity to clean seed, learn the Linnean system of naming plants, and then fold up a seed packet to take seeds home.
