Engraver

Engraving a silver or gold object would create a beautiful design and add security in the 18th century, showing ownership with a family crest or a monogram. Watch as engravers carry on the same tradition as engraver William Waddill did in late 18th-century Williamsburg. You’ll see engraving on silver, gold, copper, pewter, brass, and bronze items, often made in our Foundry and Silversmiths shops.

To safeguard the health and well-being of all staff and guests during periods of extreme heat, we follow strict hot weather protocols. When the heat index rises above 104 degrees you can find the Founder at this site.
