Bassett Trace Nature Trail Walk
Take a leisurely stroll on the Bassett Trace Nature Trail and learn about Virginia's wildlife and native habitats. Colonial Williamsburg Master Naturalist volunteers will discuss flora and fauna seen along the trail and the importance of conservation. The walk, about a half-mile round trip, begins at the trail's head by the Griffin Hotel parking lot. Afterward, hikers may walk the 1.4-mile trail, which ends at the Green Course Clubhouse. If you like nature and enjoy being outdoors, this walk is for you! Please wear insect-repellant and appropriate footwear for rough terrain. Birders may want to bring binoculars.
This tour meets at the trailhead located in the parking lot of the Gold Wing of the Griffin Hotel.
Weather permitting. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please plan to arrive early, as space is limited for this program. This walk may be difficult for wheelchairs to navigate due to rough terrain.
