Who is eligible?
Enrollment is open to all children who will be entering 5th grade in the 2026-2027 school year in James City and York Counties, as well as the City of Williamsburg. There is no school affiliation required. There is no cost to join.
Do you have to play an instrument or be able to read music to apply?
There are no musical pre-requisites required, we are prepared to teach our new students from the ground up!
How does the enrollment process work?
The staff of the Colonial Williamsburg Fifes and Drums will reach out by the end of April 2026 via email with an invitation to come observe the program, followed by callbacks for interviews. Final selections will be made based on the interviews.
