Did you know that big changes are coming to Nassau Street? Whether it's Williamsburg's First Baptist Church's original site or Custis Square's fabulous gardens, archaeology is where it all starts! Join us for a walking tour of Nassau Street and learn how archaeology has contributed to the reconstructed landscape you see today. We will share how we're still working to fully understand what the First Baptist Church, Bray School, and Custis Square archaeology sites have to teach us. You'll even get a sneak peek at what the future holds for this important historic corridor! Tour groups meet at the First Baptist Church archaeology site.
A portion of this tour will enter archaeological sites and may be difficult for wheelchairs due to uneven terrain. Weather permitting.
