Recruitment for the Fall 2023 Recruit class is closed. Fourth graders for the 2023-2024 academic year can apply for the Fall 2024 class.
Who is eligible?
Enrollment is open to all children who will be entering 4th grade this year in the James City and York Counties, as well as the City of Williamsburg, and there is no school affiliation required.
Do you have to play an instrument or be able to read music to apply?
There are no musical pre-requisites required, we are prepared to teach our new students from the ground up!
How does the enrollment process work?
The staff of the Colonial Williamsburg Fifes and Drums will reach out by the end of April 2024 with an invitation to come observe the program, followed by callbacks for interviews. Final selections will be made based on the interviews.
