Education means something to everyone. But can everyone agree on its value? As the first official school for African Americans, the Williamsburg Bray School meant something different to every person who walked through its doors. Meet Mrs. Wager, teacher of the Williamsburg Bray School, as she debates the nature of her school with Elizabeth DeRosario, a free Black woman.
Following the program, there will be a panel discussion about the legacy of the Bray School with the performers and other subject-matter experts.
