Join fortepianists Patricia Garcia Gil and Gail Olszewski for two back-to-back mini-recitals featuring music from the Revolutionary Era and Early Republican Period performed on Colonial Williamsburg's original 1791 Square Piano by Jacob Ball (London). "Music for a Nation... by A Lady" highlights the works of American women who defied societal expectations in pursuit of commercial success as composers in the early 19th century. A Revolutionary Inspiration will introduce audiences to two little-known contemporaries living on opposite sides of the Atlantic.
