Join Providence Classical School as they explore the magic of what-if in this delightful musical about the hope of a lost Romanov princess in Anastasia: The Musical (Youth Edition).
The year is 1927 and a young woman named Anya with no memories, except that someone is waiting for her in Paris, runs into a pair of conmen who are trying to flee Soviet Russia before the border closes. They scheme to transform her into the rumored lost princess and take her to the Dowager Empress in France. As characters fall in love, reconnect with their pasts, and dream of a better tomorrow, Anya’s true identity is unveiled.
While the real Anastasia Romanov met the same tragic fate as her family that cold night in 1917, this inspiring retelling invites audiences of all ages to go on a “Journey to the Past," and indulge in the fantasy of what could have been. It inspires us to reimagine our identity through the eyes of love, holding onto the realities that got us where we are, and the hopes of what keeps us going.
On March 14th and 15th, our Providence Players, a select group of talented and dedicated High School and Middle School students, brave the stage to tell this heroic story about courage, grief, and restoration.
The show runs 60 minutes without intermission. Flowers will be sold at the door.
Tickets can be purchased online, in person at the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center or Greenhow Lumber Ticket Office, and also through the call center at 1-800-HISTORY.
Note: Tickets are sent by email. You can either show the ticket from your phone at the door or print them out. Both are accepted.
Parking near Merchants Square is recommended. If you plan to park at the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center, please check the bus schedule.
