The Christmas season in the 18th century was celebrated differently than today; however, gift-giving, singing, feasting, and religious services were still practiced. Join members of the Governor’s Musick for holiday programs as they take you on a musical journey through the Christmastide season. Find out how Williamsburg celebrated the holidays, or holy-days, and compare Williamsburg’s traditions to your own.
Thursdays will feature a program celebrating the holidays at home through the eyes of Nancy Geddy. Saturdays will feature a program on the social holiday traditions celebrated by all Williamsburg citizens.
